“Night And Day I Work Hard” is a trilogy of short films set in Milan that explores the theme of work.
The three films follow the cycle of the sun, rather than the chronological order in which they were made.

Day breaks with “Linda” (2025), in which an electrician confronts the stereotype and prejudices that challenge the recognition of her professional expertise.

At sundown, “My Sunset Room” (2021) follows two young boys who reject the pace and values of Western capitalist society in search of a more authentic way of living.

Night falls with “Vensòn” (2014), portraying a man who crosses the sleeping city to replace the illuminated advertising signs, that shape its visual landscape.

The film trilogy is accompanied by an aluminium sculpture suspended high above the viewer.
At once reminiscent of an industrial cog and an ever-burning sun, the work serves as a warning against a capitalist society that elevates labour and the pursuit of financial gain into absolute goals, subordinating the lives and rights of all species to them. Through its reflective presence, the sculpture becomes a symbol of the power that watches over the system and, at the same time, of the light toward which that system is constantly oriented.
